This year, we have an exciting line-up of holiday events, bringing festive cheer to our community. From the grand Christmas lights switch-on to Breakfast with Santa and family-friendly shows in the Art Centre, there really is something for everyone. Gravesend’s Christmas Lights Switch-On.

Kicking off the holiday season in style this year is the spectacular Christmas Lights switch-on! Festive entertainment will take over the town centre from midday, featuring the Arctic Adventure children's show at the Centre, a Giant Gingerbread man and Elf, stilt walkers and more surprises around every corner.

Little Bear's Christmas Wish At the St George’s Arts Centre
Dates: Friday, 13 December - Tuesday, 24 December 2024
Created by Play on Words Theatre in collaboration with Gravesham Borough Council, this 50-minute interactive show is designed for children aged 3-6. Join Little Bear on a mission to save the Christmas wishes and keep the holiday magic alive!

This promenade performance invites children to move around the space, making them part of the adventure. Special pricing is available for schools and uniform groups, perfect for young families to experience Christmas magic up close.

Romanian Christmas Festival Bath Street, Gravesend DA11 0TA
Date: 15th December, 11am - 6pm
Join us for a unique celebration filled with cultural delights, with over 50 stalls offering handmade crafts, toys and festive treats from around the world. Discover German wooden toys, Japanese origami and classic holiday treats like mulled wine and gingerbread.
Entertainment: Enjoy carols, traditional music and dances that bring the spirit of a Romanian Christmas to life.
